the new ozzy osbourne album

I've been halfheartedly keeping up with the singles as they've been released; I think I definitely went and watched the "Under the Graveyard" music video, if not that one whatever one had the girl from "the End of the F***ing World" in it, which I'm pretty sure was "Under the Graveyard" but I don't actually know-- Either way, I'm currently making my way through the album.I'm on the last track right now, as I'm writing this, and I gotta say, I do like it. Is it as good as like, Blizzard of Ozz or something like that? Uh, no, but I don't think anyone was expecting it to be that good. I do really dig "Under the Graveyard", I think it's a great song. And I think it's really interesting to see Ozzy get together with all of these other musicians--sure, it's majorly kickass to see him get together with, like fucking Slash , but also it's cool to see him hook up with musicians that are like, nothing like

absolute baby

I don't get sick often. I'll get a stuffed up nose more frequently than anything, but it normally goes away pretty fast--when it doesn't, I get so fucking whiny, like I just can't deal with it. Yesterday, I woke up with a sore throat. Sometimes happens. Normally a hot shower and a cup of warm coffee clears that up. Didn't. Rest of the day was also spent shivering my ass off, because I was absolutely freezing unless I was under seven blankets or standing in front of the garlic cheese bread oven at work. And to be completely honest, it's probably just a sore throat and maybe a mild fever. I took a shot of off-brand NyQuil last night to fall asleep (I tried not to, I don't like using any sort of medicine unless I absolutely have to so that when I have to, it works like it's supposed to) and this morning my throat is still sore and my nose is a little stuffed up but I do feel better . But dear fucking lord I was such a baby about the whole thing last nig

slump

I hate the phrase 'writing slump', just like I hate the word 'reading slump,' because when it comes to things like this, where you just don't want to read or write, the answer is only one thing--to just fucking do it. It's not hard. You just have to do it. And I know this, I know this right now, when I'm five hundred pages deep on War & Peace and unwilling to give up on it even though oh my god I am 33 books behind on my Goodreads challenge , and five hundred pages deep means I have roughly nine hundred pages left, give or take, and my writing has-- Stalled. I guess I've finished a couple projects this year, but that mostly comes from being in the final pass stages when the year came around. I feel like I've done nothing this year, and what's scarier--I haven't had hardly any urges to write any first drafts. The only urge to write a first draft I've had is because I realized that I haven't had an idea where I was like 'oh

SHORT STORY: Stapler

Author's Note: This is actually one I wrote for class? My professors got used to how I am as a person. So that's why it's a short one, because I wrote it for flash fiction class. Wrote in April of 2017.

we are free

If any of you are interested in the ongoing saga of 'holy shit we all hate this one coworker', I have good news: Boy's gone. This past week, twice he's gone home on break and hasn't come back. Sunday was the last time--he'd put in his two weeks, boss called him and promised him that he could start driving, despite the fact that at least three drivers would quit on the spot if he was given that opportunity and one would give it a week and then quit, we all thought the two weeks was a false alarm again, and then-- Tuesday night, we get a call. And he's gone. He's gone for good, and we are free. It is amazing, really; Wednesdays have been my night to close with him, and as he quit we had to call in one of the part-time girls, who is currently student-teaching so she was only really able to be there to get me through the supper rush... but she was there for two and a half hours and got literally almost all of the closing stuff done. And yeah--it was

jay & silent bob reboot

I'm gonna start this off by saying that dear God I'm never going to an event in the middle of winter again, except I might be going to KISS in Grand Forks later this month, I dunno, but dear fucking lord dear fucking lord dear fucking lord. Last Thursday, the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot Roadshow was in Fargo. That's the thing where Kevin Smith shows up so, yes, I did see Kevin Smith live and that was fucking wild. I met up with a couple of my old college roommates and we had supper and then went down to the Fargo Theatre to watch the movie and then watch Kevin Smith (??????!!??!?!?!!) talk at us for a while, and then it took me an hour and half to make what is normally about a forty-five minute drive, because the fog was so fucking thick that at points I was going forty MPH on the interstate . The movie itself was a lot of fun. It did a really good job at capturing the... spirit of the original, we'll say, but yeah, it was more emotional. And I did really love all o
