VENDETTIC

Book One: Spahn

JUNE 1982

For an up-and-coming heavy metal band in 1982, the chance to play a festival, even if it is at the recently rebuilt Spahn Ranch, seems like too good of an opportunity to be true. As Vendettic, alongside dozens of other bands, trek into the California desert for a week of drinking, heavy metal, and debauchery, they end up with more than they bargained for: that is, awakening some kind of ancient evil during a midday weed-fueled exploration.

So now they're stuck--trapped out in the desert with no real way to get back to civilization. Alongside them are the remains of Cyanide Pill, who lost their guitarist to said ancient evil, and Ben Gautier, Vendettic's former lead guitarist with a bone to pick with their new one.

With disemboweling, sex, and more heavy metal than you can stand, Spahn is the first in a three-book horror series guaranteed to, if nothing else, gross you out at times.

Book Two: Sacrifice

SEPTEMBER 1982
After the horror of Spahn, Niko Roe is ready to leave all of the demonic parts of heavy metal behind, and a tour with XXXmass, the nation's most famous pop-metal band, might just be the way to do that. And anyway, it's not like he's got much of a choice--Danny told XXXmass that they'd open for them before even thinking about talking to the rest of the band. But it should be fun! After all, XXXmass is fun... until they aren't. After a tragedy that leaves Vendettic reeling, the band starts to drift apart. Niko's feeling the loneliness almost more than everyone... at least until Ben Gautier and TJ Olsmann, who have banded together to build a demon-hunting band, call him--could they come up to Seattle to help out?

As the questions on who is causing all of this demon shit grow, Vendettic and, inexplicably, Niko Roe, are stuck straight in the middle of it. It's just a question on whether the band will survive or not.

Book Three: Sunset

JULY 1983
After the revelation that Julian Diglio is not just a cute drug-addicted guitarist but in fact the main perpetrator of everything that's been happening, Niko Roe doesn't know what to think. When demon-hunting band Tetradotoxin gets captured, though, he has to stop thinking and jump into action, alongside the other members of Vendettic--Ben Gautier has saved them all too many times to rot away in Julian's basement.

Even a successful rescue attempt, however, isn't enough to stop what's coming next--with a bleeding sickness straight out of an Edgar Allan Poe story and the enigmatic former drummer of Broadstone Still, Jeremy Neil, taking refuge in their house, Niko has an idea that peace will not stay.

But he might just be able to save the world anyway.
